Training managers to effectively solve challenges and boost efficiency

Client Need

A large company identified the need to strengthen the performance of its entry- and mid-level managers through expanding their skill set and increasing efficiency.

My Approach

  • Design and facilitate a cohort-based, 10-month, management training program. In each session, participants were presented with resources, strategies, and best practices in management. Between sessions, participants were asked to apply lessons learned and reflect on their individual experiences and outcomes.

  • In a culminating project, participants worked collaboratively in cross-departmental teams to develop recommendations to solve some of the current challenges identified in the company’s recent employee engagement survey.

Outcome

Each team presented their research and recommendations to the company's senior leaders for their input and consideration and several new strategies were accepted which will be phased in during the coming months.
